Chipate city has been stocked with over 600,000 condoms ahead of the N’cwala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni people which kicks off this Thursday 23rd February 2023 up to Saturday 25th February 2023 when the official ceremony will take place.
N’cwala traditional ceremony organizing committee Chairperson for Health, Davison Daka said 7652 female condoms, and 614340 male condoms have been made available to the committee ahead of the ceremony.
Mr Daka told journalists at Mtenguleni village in Chipata on that 620,992 male and female condoms are available for use during this year’s N’cwala traditional ceremony.
Meanwhile, Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Beauty Phiri has urged people not to feel shy to utilize the latex material during the ceremony to curb the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancies. (Source: Mwebantu)
